The Discovery Course
Love Streatham recently ran the Discovery Course. This is a Course put together by Tearfund to enable Churches to more effectively engage with their community. It looks at:
- What are the real needs of our community?
- What are the resources we have as Churches?
- Are we using those resources in the best way to meet the needs we see?
- How can we work together to achieve our aims?
This course has shaped our understanding of how the church can start to get engaged in the community. As part of the course, we undertook a community consultation to find out what people living in Streatham think. This is shaping our decisions of what we might do going forward.
